Nyet, Nyet--Thursday--Day 18

My Travel Bag from Karaganda to Almaty is packed--with the first snow suit
Here is my new snowsuit--notice my reaction (see my tongue!).
I look like Ralphie's little brother from "A Christmas Story"

Nyet, Nyet--today we brought our travel bags for the babies for inspection. Our snowsuit was nixed--"Nyet, Nyet". Yes, my ebay prize--my Hanna Anderson snowsuit that I bid meticiously on for days--nixed! Apparently, they don't understand the concept of thinsulate and thin can equal thick/warm. I tried to explain, you know, for the active baby--like when skiing. We did not feel too bad, as 4 out of 5 snowsuits got the big axe! Our hat was also nixed--even though they will wear a hood from the snowsuit too--it was a "Fall" hat--yes, a fall wool hat. So we went to the market and bought a new snowsuit along with the other families. Now it smells like the market, so we will have to launder it some way and dry it. We have been doing our laundry ourselves, but it will take too long for this to dry, so we will likely send it out through the hotel. It has turned cold today....we have been very lucky thus far. It is around 9 degrees with the windchill, so it was a quick walk to the market for the new snowsuit (we got a group discount!) and back today with a little snow flurries falling. We will go for our afternoon visit in about an hour.
