It's astonishing to realize all the changes Adelyn has experienced these past three months ....5 airplane trips already, a new home and surroundings, new language, new people she interacts with, first ride in a car and strapped in a car seat, new food/formula, first vacation, first time on a ship, first visit with the Disney characters, first trip to the ocean and feet in the sand and most importantly a new, devoted family to love and take care of her! We are so grateful for the gift of Adelyn Kseniya Grace! She brings us such joy and happiness, we can't imagine life without her!
We celebrated Mother's Day at the Furnace Inn. Michael and I had our wedding reception here so it always has special meaning to dine there. We have had Mother's Day brunch at the Inn the past several years, starting when I was pregnant with Andrew and due to have him any day.
It was a particularly special day, as Adelyn completes our family and we were able to celebrate ALL together. This time last year, we took several photos of the 3 of us in the beautiful gardens surrounding the mansion to send in with our dossier. We were in the midst of preparing it, wondering if we would have a baby for the following Mother's Day (or at all). We have been so blessed with that dream coming true!
We were late making our reservation and the Inn was full, but they were kind enough to squeeze us in and set up a table on the side porch. It was only us and it was perfect. Andrew thought this was so cool. His comment was "Awesome, we have our own private room!" It was super nice of them to do this for us. We enjoyed the delicious brunch and music as usual and strolled the gardens and various rooms of the mansion.
