and dalmation cookies for his party
on the back of the fire truck at our local Fire Station
We celebrated Andrew's 6th birthday on Saturday May 16th at the local fire station. He had 23 kids attend, mainly from his kindergarten class and some family friends as well. We got to tour the station, climb on a truck and see a fire fighter dress in full gear. He answered questions from the kids and they were enthused to see him put on his gear, which weighs 80 pounds!
We had pizza, cake and ice cream, played some games and Andrew brought his fire trucks/rescue vehicles to play with at the station as well. We will celebrate again as a family on his actual birthday this Friday, the 22nd. His school is having a dinner with a DJ, Moon Bounce, games and Silent Auction....to celebrate the end of school approaching....we're sure he thinks it's for his birthday!!
Adelyn enjoyed playing with and being made over by the "big" kids! We will celebrate Adelyn's birthday next weekend on her actual birthday. We can hardly believe she is going to turn 1 so quickly and are so blessed to have her for her very first birthday. On the 24th, we'll mark 6 months since Michael and I first met Adelyn ("Susha") at the baby house in Karaganda on Nov. 24th.
Below are pictures from Mother's Day as well...

Looks like the party was a success!
I got your blog address from the Kaz Adoption Families page. We adopted Daniel from Karaganda a few months before you adopted Adelyn. She is one beautiful and happy baby!!
Happy Birthday Adelyn and Andrew!
