The above photo summaries it--we feel like posting it on a billboard--We have been invited to travel to Kaz! Our letter of Invitation arrived on Tuesday, October 14th. We were still waiting on the Visa numbers to have our Visas processed and they arrived Monday. We sent our Visa applications off to Panorama Travel in NYC last week and Katerina will process them for us. At least we are not down to the wire of traveling & waiting on Visas--we are in good shape--Thank you CAH!
Still working out our flight arrangements, but are expected to be at the baby house in Karaganda, Kazakhstan to meet our baby on MONDAY NOVEMBER 24th!! On November 21st we'll leave the U.S. and fly to Almaty, KZ either via Amsterdam or Frankfurt and then on to Karaganda on a domestic flight. We have lots to do to prepare for our trip. We know that our baby is there waiting on us and has no idea that we are coming for her. WE ARE VERY EXCITED! All of this is good, yet a little bittersweet, as we are going to miss Andrew TERRIBLY! We had considered taking him, but with just starting kindergarten and for other health and safety reasons we have decided to have him remain at home, primarily in the care of his Grandparents and family and friends. Aunt Carolyn has volunteered to come up for 2 weeks to help out--we can't thank her enough--Thanks Bill too for lending her to us!
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we embark on this travel part of our journey (trimester 3)! We are very well traveled, and I have to say this is somewhat overwhelming. Please pray for: Andrew while we are away from him for this lengthy time; our traveling, safe and sound and our health in Kaz; Peace- when we see the children they present to us, that we know she is the ONE God meant to be in our family & for a speedy court date.
We are going to make the blog private while we travel and will be sending out invitations for our family and friends to follow along--our new Dell Laptop arrived yesterday! Making the blog private will require one extra step to sign-in, but we feel it is important during our travels to have it this way. We will be communicating primarily via the blog while we travel. Please feel free to leave a comment or question on the blog and we will be happy to answer (internet may be a bit unpredictable)!
On last thing, we changed the date from November 14th to November 7th as the last day for donations for the orphanage--(see previous post)--since our travel date is earlier than we orginally anticipated.
Thank you everyone for your support in this decision and for all your help while we are gone! We look forward to sharing our travel down the road less traveled. We can't wait to get there and meet our baby!

Holy Cow! This is awesome and exciting... and I'm sure nerve wrecking all in one. But, I can tell you from what I know of other folk's adoption experiences... yours has plodded along so systematically, that it must be meant to be. Like you, I absolutely cannot wait to see, and eventually meet, the newest Torcisi.
