It's May Birthday month once again....we all celebrate our birthdays in May--mine the 6th, Michael the 7th and Andrew on the 22nd. Since Andrew has been born, we have tried to take vacation during the first week of May. This year is no different. We decided to take a break from our adoption paperwork, NW-Delta merger, etc and go to one of our favorite spots--Florida and specifically Walt Disney World.
We left on May 2nd and spent a couple of fun days with Carolyn and Bill. We swam in their village pool, went to a place called Too Jays for lunch again this year and enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner cook-out. On Sunday, we headed to the Magic Kingdom. It was hot and crowded, but we had a great time. Since we were staying at a resort hotel, we got to enjoy extra magic hours and stayed in the park until after 1am, riding the rides without any lines and watching the fireworks.

Monday, Carolyn and Bill met us at Kennedy Space Center. We all enjoyed the bus tour and got to see the space shuttle up close on launchpad 39A. It is scheduled to launch on May 31st and had just been moved to the launchpad a couple days beforehand. This was a highlight for Andrew.
On Tuesday we enjoyed our pool at the Caribbean Beach Resort and went to Downtown Disney, so Mommy could get in a little bit of shopping. Our last day, Wednesday, we went to Disney Studios Park and enjoyed the rides and shows, particularly the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Stunt Spectacular for Andrew and the rock and roller coaster and tower of terror for Daddy.

We bought the baby a stuffed Minnie Mouse and WDW Princess onesie. It is hard to judge size since we don't know how old or how big she will be, but we wanted to get her something, nonetheless. Hopefully it will fit at some point when she arrives home. At least one size fits all with the Minnie Mouse!

We are just about done with our second set of paperwork....the overseas dossier. We have one more adoption education class to complete. We finished up with our medicals and bloodwork and picked up the paperwork from our doctors today. We also called the State regarding our Child Abuse clearance, as that is the only thing we are waiting on. They will expedite it (they have had it about 12 weeks) and ICA should have it the first part of next week. We will have to get each document aposiled at the State Capitol in Annapolis and checked by our agency before they have it translated into Russian and sent to the Kazakhstan Consulate in New York. We're getting closer.....
