Steven Curtis Chapman a contemporary christian song writer and singer wrote a song by the name of "Cinderella" which was inspired by his 2 youngest adoptive daughters. We have another of his songs on our play list entitled "When Love Takes You In".
The song Cinderella is about living in the moment and appreciating what is important in our lives. It celebrates the blessings of childhood, family, love, life in the here and now. The Chapman's have adopted 3 daughters from China and are great advocates of adoption. They performed missionary work in Chinese orphanages and established a charity named after their first adopted daughter, Shoahannah. Tragically their youngest adoptive daughter, Maria was killed last week in an accident, just days after her 5th birthday. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the Chapman family.
The song "Cinderella" performed by Steven Curtis Chapman is below. The song is heart-achingly prophetic in a way he never could have imagined.
(You need to stop the play list first at the top if you wish to hear it or it will play both songs at the same time):
